In short: Jordan Mathieu, dog trainer and behaviourist, comes to your home in Antibes, in English or French. The behavioural assessment lasts about 2 hours, then sessions last about 1 hour. Single session €80, assessment €130 (free with a package), packages from €490. Contact by WhatsApp or phone.
What does a home dog training session in Antibes look like?
I come to your home, where everyday situations actually happen: a visitor arriving, the walk on the lead, mealtimes, coming home. This is where your dog learns fastest, and where you can apply what we have worked on.
- First chat. You tell me about the situation by WhatsApp or phone, and we choose an appointment together.
- Behavioural assessment (about 2 hours). I observe your dog in its environment, we talk things through in depth, and I give you practical, personalised advice you can use straight away.
- Sessions (about 1 hour). At home and outdoors, with you. Most of the work is done with the owner: the aim is for you to understand your dog and respond calmly.
- Follow-up. PDF sheets, videos and progress tracking in your client area; group walks and workshops are included with the packages.
When should you call a dog trainer in Antibes?
- A new puppy: mouthing, house training, first habits. See the page on puppy training in Antibes, Biot and Valbonne.
- A dog that pulls on the lead or does not come back when called.
- A reactive dog around other dogs, passers-by or noises.
- Fear, anxiety, resource guarding: gradual work, always at the dog's pace.
- A behavioural assessment to take stock, with or without a package.

Beaches: take care in summer
In my guide to dog-friendly beaches, dogs are banned from the beaches of Antibes in summer, even on the lead (fine of €11 to €38). Vaugrenier beach, on the Villeneuve-Loubet side, accepts animals according to the tourist office: check the rule on site.
Rules to keep in mind
- In town: dogs must be on the lead on public roads and owners must pick up waste (departmental health regulations, art. 99.6).
- Straying: a dog out of its owner's earshot, or more than 100 m away, is considered to be straying (Rural Code, art. L211-23).
- Category 1 and 2 dogs: muzzled and on the lead, handled by an adult, with an ownership permit issued by the town hall (Rural Code, art. L211-12 onwards).
- Wildfire risk: from mid-June to the end of September, access to forest areas is regulated every day according to the official risk map (French).

Frequently asked questions
How much does a dog trainer cost in Antibes?
A single session costs €80 (about 1 hour) and the behavioural assessment at home costs €130 (about 2 hours). Packages start at €490 for 5 sessions, with the assessment included, and go up to €990 for 15 sessions. Payment is made in one go at booking.
Do you come to my home in Antibes?
Yes. Sessions take place mainly at your home and outdoors, in your dog's real environment. This lets us work directly on everyday situations, where the behaviours actually appear. You need to be present: the work is done with you.
When should I start training my puppy in Antibes?
As soon as your puppy arrives at home, usually around 2 months old. It is a key period when puppies learn very quickly. The Classic / Puppy package includes 7 sessions and a free assessment, to set solid foundations and prevent future unwanted behaviours.
Where can I walk my dog in Antibes?
Around Antibes, the Brague park, the Vaugrenier park and the Paradou massif welcome dogs on the lead all year. The beaches of Antibes are closed to dogs in summer. Find the places and rules on the free map Dog owners’ map.
My dog is reactive or anxious: can you help?
Yes. I support more complex behaviours: fear, reactivity, anxiety, resource guarding, sociability issues. The work is gradual and always adapted to the dog's pace. I start with a behavioural assessment, then we set the steps together.
